Darnley, on the north coast of Prince Edward Island, is an area of sandy beaches and eroded red cliffs, topped by sand dunes. Although there is a little bit of agriculture inland, the area is more suited to tourists and leisure. During the winter, the area is wind-swept and cold. The cliffs show dramatic erosion, with caves and free-standing rock formations. The beaches are sandy, and make for a fantastic stroll.
